ILLUSTRATIVE PASSPORT

Every Akoni finds its owner. Akoni never does.

  • Intelligent designOn the frame
  • Honest luxuryOn the record
  • Made to lastRemembered

Each frame leaves Japan carrying everything you put into it: the design, the craft, the honesty. Then it walks out of a boutique into someone's life, and Akoni never hears from it again.

It does not have to be that way.

“Akoni Eyewear is our personal project.”

Rosario Toscano

A personal project deserves a personal record.

Every Akoni frame leaves Japan carrying the intention of its founders: how it was designed, what it is made of, the hands that made it. Today that intention ends at the point of sale.

A digital passport carries it further. The owner holds the frame, and with it, the frame's own record: its story, its proof, its owner, for as long as it exists.

A frame made to last deserves a record that lasts.

You make eyewear as a luxury accessory intended to last, not as a fashion item. A frame meant for years should carry its story for years: who made it, from what, for whom, and every repair along the way.

Collector brands live on provenance. Akoni can build its own from its first decade, as the frames are made, instead of reconstructing it later from memory and paper.

“We are actually fashioning a frame for that soul.”

Salma Rachid

A frame for the soul should know whose soul it is.

Intelligent luxury knows its owner. With a passport, Akoni meets the person who wears each frame, and can speak to them by name, about their frame, for as long as they own it.

Made in Japan, and told on the frame.

The Akoni experience, continued in the owner's hands.

  1. 01

Your brand experience, after the boutique.

Akoni introduced its brand experience in 2024. The passport carries it on, long after the owner leaves the store.

  2. 02

    Proof travels.

Authenticity and ownership move with every frame through resale and gifting, so an Akoni keeps its provenance wherever it goes.

  3. 03

The second Akoni starts with the first.

Knowing who owns which frame means knowing what to show them next, and when.

  4. 04

    A quiet standard.

Nothing about the design changes. A small tag, placed where Akoni decides, opens the record when the owner chooses.

Not now. When it is time.

We understand this is not the moment, and we respect that. When the time comes, we would like to be part of Akoni's next chapter. Until then, this is for you to keep.

Whenever you would like to see it working, we are a message away.
